This is Franklin, the older of our two kittens (by roughly seven weeks), on the day Mommy Willow baked a whole, organic, Farmer’s Market chicken — by hirself. It was a flashback experience, really.

And there is a tiny, starved, 4-week-old kitten sleeping in a box in my bathroom, nestled among socks filled with rice (heated in the microwave) and old sweatshirts, fighting valiently (and sometimes audibly) to save hir life.
It’s moments like these I thank Goddess for experiencing life.

There are two muffins in an oven.
One muffin turns to the other muffin and says, “Is it hot in here or is it just me?”
